L'Accademia

The Accademia Italiana del Giardino offers a large teaching hall equipped with rear-projection screen and multiple wall-mounted monitors to ensure that theoretical lessons are exciting and interactive.

For hands-on application and practice of the information learned during the lessons, course participants can also utilize numerous outdoor spaces:

• A large and richly furnished contemporary garden
• A raised bed garden and small formal garden
• An experimental laboratory plot
• A 700 square meter rose garden with perennial bulbs and herbs

Our trainers are available with their wealth of knowledge and expertise to guide you along a path of theory and practice. Courses are, in fact, held by professionals such as Landscape Architects, Agronomists, Naturalists and Green Technicians, from our own collaborating Head Gardeners and even the three Mati brothers – Andrea, Francesco and Paolo.

Indoor lessons at the Italian Academy of the Garden are supported with presentations, photographs, videos, technical plans and examples. Part of the lesson is held outside, within the nursery growing around the Accademia and in the gardens created just a few meters away.

Even during winter months, when it is more difficult to use the outdoor areas, hands-on practice is always happening inside the Accademia hall.
